How is this different from wheel alignment?
Wheel alignment adjusts the wheel angles on a car whose suspension is already sound. Suspension alignment first corrects ride height and settles new parts, then sets the angles.
Is it needed after fitting new air springs?
Yes. Height should be checked and calibrated, and the geometry measured, because the angles change with height.
My car leans to one side when parked. Is that alignment?
No, that is a height problem: a leaking air spring, a weak coil spring or a faulty sensor. Alignment comes after it is fixed.
