About Solite
Solite built its name on sealed calcium maintenance-free batteries, the kind you fit and forget until the next replacement. The brand is exported heavily and is stocked in almost every JIS size, which is why technicians in the UAE know it so well. Hyundai Sungwoo also produces AGM batteries under the Solite name for cars with stop/start. Most Solite batteries have a built-in charge indicator on top, a small window that gives a rough reading of the state of charge.

A sealed battery cannot be topped up, so once heat has driven off enough electrolyte it is finished. If the indicator window has gone clear or the engine turns over slowly on a hot afternoon, get it tested.

A standard Solite is a flooded battery and does not belong in a stop/start Range Rover, which needs AGM. It can serve an older Land Rover without stop/start when the size matches, and we check that before recommending it.

Is Solite made by Hyundai?
It is made by Hyundai Sungwoo, a Korean battery manufacturer. It is sold as an aftermarket brand for all makes, not as a Hyundai genuine part.
What does the indicator on top of a Solite battery show?
A rough state of charge for one cell. It is a useful hint, but a proper tester is the only way to know the condition of the whole battery.
What is the warranty on Solite?
