On a Range Rover
Most current Range Rover models, the Velar included, use a ZF 8-speed automatic, while the Evoque and Discovery Sport use a 9-speed. On a four-wheel drive car a driveline noise can also come from the transfer case or a differential, so those are checked before the gearbox is blamed.
