Choosing a battery for the Skoda Kamiq
The Kamiq has been on sale since 2018 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a EFB battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Skoda needs from its battery
Most Skodas with stop/start take an EFB battery in H5 or H6, and the larger engines in the Superb and Kodiaq usually take AGM in H6 or H7. Older cars without stop/start use a flooded battery.
The battery sits in an insulating jacket that shields it from engine heat, and it should go back on the new battery, not in the bin. As on other Volkswagen Group cars, the replacement should be coded in so the energy management starts from a clean slate.

What battery does the Skoda Kamiq use?
