Choosing a battery for the Mitsubishi 3000 GT
The 3000 GT was built from 1990 to 2001, before start-stop was common, so most examples run a conventional maintenance-free battery. Age matters more than mileage on these cars: cables, terminals and the alternator are worth checking at the same visit.
Coupés often sit for days between drives, and that is when a battery quietly discharges. If yours is a weekend car, ask us about a maintenance charger when we fit the new battery.
What a Mitsubishi needs from its battery
Mitsubishi mostly uses JIS flooded batteries. The Attrage and Mirage take NS40, the Lancer and ASX usually NS60, and the Pajero, Montero Sport and L200 generally 80D26L. Check the label, as sizes changed across generations.
Some Mitsubishi engines idle unevenly for a short while after the battery has been disconnected, until the engine computer relearns. A few minutes of idling with the AC off, then on, normally settles it.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

Mitsubishi 3000 GT battery questions
What battery does the Mitsubishi 3000 GT use?
For the 3000 GT we normally fit a maintenance-free flooded battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a 3000 GT battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my 3000 GT battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the 3000 GT need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
