Choosing a battery for the Infiniti Q45
The Q45 was built from 1989 to 2006, before start-stop was common, so most examples run a conventional maintenance-free battery. Age matters more than mileage on these cars: cables, terminals and the alternator are worth checking at the same visit.

What a Infiniti needs from its battery
Most Infiniti models take JIS batteries. The QX80 and older QX56 share the high-capacity 80D26L class with the Patrol, and the saloons and smaller crossovers usually take 55D23L. Some later models differ, so the label or VIN is checked.
After the battery has been disconnected, some Infiniti models need the one-touch windows and idle speed relearned. It takes a few minutes and should be done before the technician leaves.
