Choosing a battery for the Citroën Berlingo
The Berlingo has been on sale since 1996 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a EFB battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Citroën needs from its battery
European cars use DIN batteries with recessed terminals, most often H5 or H6, with H7 on larger engines. Stop/start versions usually need EFB or AGM. Older cars without stop/start run a standard flooded battery.
The battery height matters on these cars because the hold-down clamp grips a lip at the base. Some older models also ask for a radio code after the battery has been disconnected, so it helps to have it to hand.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

Citroën Berlingo battery questions
What battery does the Citroën Berlingo use?
For the Berlingo we normally fit a EFB battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Berlingo battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Berlingo battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the Berlingo need the battery registered after replacement?
On most Citroën models of this age the battery management system should be told a new battery is fitted, and we do that on site. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
