Choosing a battery for the Chevrolet Labo
The Labo has been on sale since 2005 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Chevrolet needs from its battery
Most current Chevrolets take DIN batteries, usually H6 or H7, with AGM on trucks and SUVs that have stop/start. Small cars use H5 or a compact equivalent. Older trucks often use BCI Group 78 with side terminals.
Older GM trucks and SUVs bolt their cables into side terminals, so a top-post battery will not fit without the correct type. On the Camaro the battery is in the boot, with a remote positive post under the bonnet for jump starting.

What battery does the Chevrolet Labo use?
For the Labo we normally fit a AGM battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Labo battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Labo battery in a basement car park?

Does the Labo need the battery registered after replacement?
