Paint Repair questions
Can faded paint be polished back, or does it need a respray?
Light oxidation polishes out. Once the lacquer is peeling or has gone through to the colour coat, only repainting fixes it.
How soon can I wash the car after paint repair?
A gentle hand wash is fine after about a week. Avoid automatic washes, wax and ceramic coating for around a month while the paint hardens.
Is paint repair different from body and paint?
