Choosing a battery for the Volkswagen R32
The R32 was offered for the 2008 model year. We match the battery to the label on the unit already in the car.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Volkswagen needs from its battery
Smaller Volkswagens with stop/start usually take an EFB battery in H5 or H6. The larger models, including the Tiguan, Teramont and Touareg, mostly use AGM in H6 or H7. Older cars without stop/start run a standard flooded battery.
Cars with a battery sensor on the negative terminal need the new battery coded in with a diagnostic tool. Without it, stop/start often stays switched off even though the battery is new.

What battery does the Volkswagen R32 use?

How long does a R32 battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
