Choosing a battery for the Toyota Isis
The Isis ran from 2004 to 2017. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need maintenance-free flooded, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Toyota needs from its battery
Most Toyotas take JIS flooded batteries. Small cars such as the Yaris and Corolla usually use NS60, the Camry and RAV4 generally take 55D23L, and the Land Cruiser, Prado and Hilux use 80D26L or larger. Size varies by engine, so the label is checked.
Toyota hybrids have a small 12V auxiliary battery, often in the boot, and when it goes flat the car will not go to Ready even with a healthy hybrid pack. On the Land Cruiser, winches, fridges and extra lights are the usual reason a battery dies early.

What battery does the Toyota Isis use?

How long does a Isis battery last in the UAE?
