Choosing a battery for the Renault Pulse
The Pulse ran from 2012 to 2017. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need maintenance-free flooded, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Renault needs from its battery
Most Renaults take a DIN battery in H5 or H6, flooded on the simpler models and EFB where stop/start is fitted. The Koleos, which shares parts with Nissan, can differ, so the label is checked.
Some older Renault radios lock after the battery is disconnected and ask for a four-digit code. The one-touch windows may also need resetting by holding each switch at the top for a few seconds.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

Renault Pulse battery questions
What battery does the Renault Pulse use?
For the Pulse we normally fit a maintenance-free flooded battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Pulse battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Pulse battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the Pulse need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
