Choosing a battery for the Peugeot iOn
The iOn ran from 2010 to 2019. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need EFB, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Peugeot needs from its battery
Most recent Peugeots with stop/start take an EFB or AGM battery in H5 or H6. Older models without it use a flooded battery of the same DIN footprint. The technician confirms from the label or the VIN.
When the charge is low, a Peugeot goes into economy mode and switches off the radio and other comfort functions to protect starting. After a new battery is connected, it is best to wait a minute or two before switching on, so the control units can wake up in order.

What battery does the Peugeot iOn use?

How long does a iOn battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my iOn battery in a basement car park?

Does the iOn need the battery registered after replacement?
