Choosing a battery for the Mazda Flair Custom Style
The Flair Custom Style ran from 2012 to 2017. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need EFB, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Mazda needs from its battery
Mazdas with i-stop usually need an EFB battery built for idle stop, commonly the Q-85 size, and some models take a larger equivalent. Cars without i-stop generally use a standard JIS flooded battery such as NS60 or 55D23L.
After a battery change on an i-stop car, the battery condition has to be reset in the car. Until that is done the i-stop light can flash and the system stays off. A normal flooded battery in an i-stop car does not last.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

Mazda Flair Custom Style battery questions
What battery does the Mazda Flair Custom Style use?
For the Flair Custom Style we normally fit a EFB battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Flair Custom Style battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Flair Custom Style battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the Flair Custom Style need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
