Choosing a battery for the Lotus Emira
The Emira has been on sale since 2022 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.

What a Lotus needs from its battery
Most cars in this class take a large AGM battery in a DIN size, usually H7 or H8. A few recent models leave the factory with a lightweight 12V lithium battery. Specifications vary a lot by model, so the VIN is checked before anything is sent out.
The battery is rarely under the bonnet. It may be in the front luggage compartment, the boot or behind trim, and the lid release is often electric, so a flat battery can lock you out of the compartment that holds it. A battery conditioner is worth using on any car that sits for more than a week.
