Choosing a battery for the Lincoln Mark VIII
The Mark VIII was built from 1993 to 1998, before start-stop was common, so most examples run a conventional maintenance-free battery. Age matters more than mileage on these cars: cables, terminals and the alternator are worth checking at the same visit.

What a Lincoln needs from its battery
Most recent Lincolns take an AGM battery, usually H7 or H8, because they have auto start-stop. Older Navigators and Town Cars generally use BCI Group 65. The VIN or label confirms it.
