Choosing a battery for the Hongqi H7
The H7 has been on sale since 2013 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Hongqi needs from its battery
Most petrol Hongqi models take an AGM or EFB battery in a DIN size, usually H6 or H7, with H8 on the largest cars. Some versions add a 48V mild hybrid system. The electric models carry a 12V auxiliary battery only.
Because specifications differ a lot between engines and between petrol, mild hybrid and electric versions, a Hongqi battery should be matched from the VIN and not from a general chart. Send a photo of the label if you can reach it.

What battery does the Hongqi H7 use?
For the H7 we normally fit a AGM battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a H7 battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my H7 battery in a basement car park?

Does the H7 need the battery registered after replacement?
