Choosing a battery for the Honda Elysion Prestige
The Elysion Prestige ran from 2007 to 2013. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need maintenance-free flooded, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Honda needs from its battery
Most Hondas take JIS flooded batteries, usually NS40 or NS60 on the City, Jazz and Civic and 55D23L on the Accord, CR-V and Pilot. Models with idle stop generally need an EFB. The label confirms the size.
Many older Hondas lock the radio after the battery is disconnected and ask for an anti-theft code, so have it ready. Newer ones have a battery sensor on the negative terminal that should not be bypassed with accessory wiring.
