Choosing a battery for the Bugatti Divo
The Divo ran from 2019 to 2021. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need AGM, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
Coupés often sit for days between drives, and that is when a battery quietly discharges. If yours is a weekend car, ask us about a maintenance charger when we fit the new battery.
What a Bugatti needs from its battery
Most cars in this class take a large AGM battery in a DIN size, usually H7 or H8. A few recent models leave the factory with a lightweight 12V lithium battery. Specifications vary a lot by model, so the VIN is checked before anything is sent out.
The battery is rarely under the bonnet. It may be in the front luggage compartment, the boot or behind trim, and the lid release is often electric, so a flat battery can lock you out of the compartment that holds it. A battery conditioner is worth using on any car that sits for more than a week.
